Unisex names to the point of not knowing sex based on name, Biblical names, nature names. sometimes same first and last name.

Nicknames replace real names and are used even by politicians and military leaders.

Biblical names are shortened with an i or y - Benjamin to Benji, Gabriel is Gabi, Samuel is Sammy, Raphael is Rafi, Yaakov to Yaki, David to Dudi, Assaf to Assi, Gershon is Gigi, Yahazkial is Hezi, Pinhas is Pini.

Also, petnames are created by adding 'le or 'ik or maybe 'ka to the end. Moshe to Moshik or Moshele, Zvi to Zvika. Examples are Mooly, Mooki, Momo, Yaya, Chiko, Bogi, Bougi.

I and E are replaceable. I and Y at the end of a name are interchangeable. Children choose their English spelling of their name in school.
